Marietta Parks and Recreation maintains all city parks with a variety of amenities, including the iconic Glover Park on the Marietta Square. The department offers various programs, athletics and special events throughout the year and also maintains two (2) indoor recreation facilities.

About the Fourth of July Celebration

The city of Marietta's Fourth in the Park celebration begins Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 10 a.m. and includes a parade, free live concerts, museum tours, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and fireworks finale.

About May-Retta Daze

May-retta Daze is an annual, two-day arts and crafts festival held the first weekend in May. The festival draws artists and craftspeople from many Southern states, as well as local Georgia artists. In addition to a wide variety of arts and crafts items, the festival also includes children's activities and free entertainment on the stage.

Now open at Custer Park Sports and Fitness Center

Children Ages 6 months to 12 years can enjoy supervised child care with games, movies, art activities & more!
Parent/Guardian must call 770-795-5630 in advance to ensure availability!


 Hours of Operation
Monday- Friday: 4pm-8pm
Saturday: 9am-12pm
Sunday: 2pm-5pm

$2.00 per visit, per child(2 hour max)
10 use card, issued per child, can be purchased for $15.00

Coming Soon.... The Elizabeth Porter Park 

The Elizabeth Porter Recreation Center is now closed to make way for a new park in its place. This park will feature a, playground, picnic pavilions, restrooms, concessions and greenspace. For more information check out the Elizabeth Porter Park page.

Coming Soon.... Kirby Park 

A new park facility is set to be built in the Frasier and Manget area of Marietta. It will be called Kirby Park, in honor of Joe Kirby. Phase 1 of this forested neighborhood park will include a soft surface walking trail, bocce court, covered bridge, and overlook of the stream that dissects the property.
