The Marietta Police Department offers a nationally recognized women’s self-defense course known as the R.A.D. Women’s Self Defense course. The overall goal of this program is to educate, enhance, and empower women to take action in reducing their risk of victimization by improving awareness, learning prevention techniques, and building confidence. The course is designed so that women of all fitness levels and ages will successfully learn options to effectively defend themselves. R.A.D. is a twelve-hour course, delivered over four 3-hour classes. Participation in all four classes is necessary to graduate from the course.

The course is held at the Marietta Police Department. There is a $10 cost for the course.
