There are many local food businesses and projects developing in Saint Paul.  Here are just a few:

• The draft Lowertown Master Plan recommends a large portion of land be dedicated to urban agriculture.
• Stone's Throw Urban Farm is a collection of micro-farms on vacant lots in Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
• There are two major agriculture-related projects being supported by the Planning & Economic Development Department, an almost one-acre hydroponic greenhouse at J&J Distributing, and an aquaponic facility at the Hamm's Brewery site growing fish, shrimp and greens.
