The 2009 Fossil Hunting Season has ended.

Applications will be accepted beginning February 1 for the 2010 season for dates between April 1 and October 31, weather permitting.

Fossil hunting is by permit only. Lilydale Fossil hunting is a self-guided tour and the caves are not open to the public. There are no restroom or picnic facilities in the Brickyard.          

Fee of $10.00 per group of less than 10 people; $25.00 for a group of 10 or more people. For groups that are tax exempt, the 7.625 % tax included in the permit fee will be deducted from the fee listed ($10.00 = $9.24 and $25.00 = $23.09) with proof of tax exempt status.

 

Cancellations must be made prior to the date of permit. No refunds are issued for $10.00 permits. For $25.00 ($23.09) permits, the refund amount will be reduced to $15.00 ($13.09).  

Rain dates will be granted if the Park Permit Office is contacted before the end of the day of the reservation date.
