1.

Councilmember Stark is actively working with City staff, residents, and businesses along the corridor to maximize the benefits of light rail to our community.

2.
What's a typical day for Councilmember Stark and his staff?
Much of the workflow depends on the weekly City Council meetings that happen on Wednesdays at 3:30pm. The first and third Wednesday at 5:30, the Council has public hearings. We spend a substantial amount of time preparing for Council meetings and hearings, as well as for the HRA and Library Board meetings. The rest of the time, we are doing policy research and writing, working with community partners and residents to improve life in Ward 4, and working with constituents and City staff to resolve issues in the daily lives of residents.
3.
Who should I contact if I have a complaint?
The first point of contact at the City should be the Department of Safety and Inspections complaint line -- 651-266-8989. If you have already contacted them and are not satisfied with the response, please contact our office -- 651-266-8640. The more information about the situation and any conversations you've had with City staff, the easier it will be to address the issue. It is also important to know that Saint Paul has a strong Mayor system, which means Mayor Coleman directs all City departments. Depending on the issue, it may be helpful to also contact Mayor Coleman's office.

4.
How can I find out more about a City policy or make a policy suggestion?
The City Council is the policy-making body of the City of Saint Paul. Please contact Councilmember Stark's aide, Samantha Henningson with policy questions.
5.
What's the status of the City's budget situation?
Councilmember Stark is working diligently with his fellow Councilmembers, the Mayor, Department Directors and staff, as well as Saint Paul residents to make difficult but important decisions regarding the budget. He welcomes input from constituents about budget priorities as well as ideas for budget reductions and new revenue sources.

6.
How can I become more involved in my neighborhood?
District Councils are independent, nonprofit neighborhood organizations that we work closely with every day in Ward 4. Ward 4 has all or part of five different District Councils and neighborhoods. Each District Council has different committees and events that help connect neighbors and strengthen neighborhoods. See "District Councils" under the quick links menu to learn more.
