The City of Saint Paul is seeking a visionary and inspirational executive to lead its Department of Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity. Functional areas of the department include: human rights enforcement; public bidding; capacity building and outreach; and contract monitoring, investigation and enforcement.
Successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Business Administration or a related field, and seven years of progressively responsible management experience which would provide knowledge of Human Rights enforcement including employment law; public bidding; contract compliance, investigation and enforcement; legislative experience, workforce development, and capacity building of minority-owned and women-owned businesses. An Advanced degree or Juris Doctorate degree is preferred.
